Hey guys! Here is a homemade silencer for you baja or truck. Cheap and easy. $11-12

*This will reduce the power of your engine. I noticed the reduction on low end. Top end didn't seem to be effected as much. This is great for just screwing around in town around the house. The most noticeable sound reduction occurs at higher rpm's. You don't hear the "rap and crack" of the un-silenced pipe. Not as fun to run, but won't piss off the neighbors.

Works on any pipe with a 1/2" exit. My pipe is a dominator clone.

Parts list:

Ace hardware small engine muffler
Female hose barb adapter
1' of hi-temp 1/2" I.d. Heater hose
2-1" stainless hose clamps

All parts found at ace hardware and auto value.

eeehh, i think alot of the high end pipes have the option of getting a silencer with them, mine did i have silencers that are in my tool boxes waiting to be fitted
 
im sure this would be good for someone who does not have the option of a silencer, also i think its more because you will lose some power using them, that no one is interested in silencing there pipes

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with the power loss. But, it is nice to be able to cruise around not having to worry about the cops lol. I wouldn't run this at the track or at the dunes.

I am wondering if I am going to need some sort of spark arrester to run in the state park sand dunes. I know dirt bikes and quads require them here in Michigan at state parks.
 
Did you say it reduces power ? lol why would you want to that It would defeat the purpose of owning a high powered gas vehicle, if ya worried about the neighbours you should go electric, just my opinion

I like em loud and fast

Wow. I guess since I should sell it then. The 10percent I drive it around my house I should just say f$&@ you and get a ticket. No respect, that's what I need to shoot for! Thanks for the advice.
