Does the cold kill our hump packs?

Does leaving our cars in the cold overnight kill the hump packs? I leave my trucks in the back of my Denali xl and I'm wondering if they lose charge early???
 
Yes they will be weaker in the very cold. Also, the nickel based batteries loose charge just by sitting. That is one of the big advantages to switching to a lithium based battery. The lithium hold a stable charge while dormant.
 
Makes sense why my steering was weak then... Hoping its just the hump pack and not my hi tech servos
