Was driving my buggy today and it all of the sudden stopped moving, the engine was running but the buggy was not moving. I took the cover off the gear assembly and the drive gear (smaller gear) will not turn freely, it will move a little bit but not much. The tranmssion gear (bigger gear) turns fine. Anybody ever had this problem?

Hey,
A few things for you to check:
Are all the teeth on the gears, Are the gears aligned correctly (touching but not tight etc)
You say the engine runs but the gears are not turning.
this could be a few things, Your clutch could have gone, or your clutch bell (the shaft holding the small gear) has snapped.
best bet, run your engine, and see if you can see the clutch bell turning.

Check clutch itself,maybe come loose etc....good luck
