I ran cool power 30% or Byrons 30%. I also flew helis so always had some on hand. one has 20% oil, other had 18%
I preferred the old slider style clutch over the heli clutch. find an msj tall motor mount and you can run smaller truggy tires and gear up a lot. the heli clutchbell is a 14 I believe and I was running a standard 18 with ofna dominator rims.
don't get these puppies leaned too much or the piston rings disintegrate. it took about 2 gallons to break these things in. one motor didn't open up until the final race of the wcorcs series and temps just dropped 30+ degrees. There is a dvd floating around from that race with my cuda flying over a monster truck off a big jump. I was about 15 feet over top. my pitman is telling me to mellow out cuz I was out in first but the crowd on the stands oooohs and ahhs as the smoke machine flew drove me on, until I snapped a rear drive bone and jammed into my brakes. finished the race front wheel drive dragging a solid rear end around (back tires never spun after that haha
if you need any help, I know the trucks well and fix a couple that are still around here. I have tried every possible part made and had HHH stuff too. tough to find anything and ya Ace were never really big on assistance. I drove for Hobbycraft in Canada, and even withmy 50% off parts deal, my Heli store could get me spares from Asia cheaper and way faster, or we used thundertiger4you
any parts for the eb4 s2 buggy fit as well, so if you get tired of monkeying with the heli engine, just drop a set of 21 motor mounts in and you have a standard truggy. rcboyz in florida also have a few parts on hand
