Elcon rear wishbones. Do i need fixed ones, if so XL????

Hi there. THinking i want to buy elcon rear wishbones to eliminate the need for rose joints. Have read that fixed elcons, not adjustable are stronger for off roading?????

If so it seems i would need the XL version. Can i use the standard fg dogbones with these????? Also if i have xl wouldnt it mean the back wheels would stick out further than the fronts????
