Thinking of getting an enclosed clutch, i have had a look around at different ones and was wondering what you guys would recommend and why?? is there anything else i should be looking to change.
I run my 5B over at Deeside so it has to cope with sand, grass, moss, mud.

Thanks Jas

yeah thats the problem with the tr ones very good but soooo expensive so would be looking for something with a smaller price tag to do the same job.
hey pablo r u sure your not working for k, m ????? lol

plus 100 man. you wont find a better functional piece than the TR setup. It covers minimum 7 to 8 quirks of the stock setup, as well as aftermarket pieces built to stock specs. not they the others are bad, but lets face the fact, Dave at TR truely met the Whole Package with the HD Clutch Sytem, and at a Price Point thats very hard to match.

no mate not yet lol, but the k,m alloy parts are good for the price and when i said the clutch cover was £30 well its not its £25 , price drop:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I've got a DDM and a TGN enclosed housing and found both do the job, bought the TGN off 1 of the forums for £15.
I've had to change 2 sets of bearings but at 2.50 a pair its not bad (worn).

TR are prob the best and i don't know if they have issues with bearing but as long as they do the job who cares, plus we only do the odd bashing around, if we raced all the time then i'd pay the extra for the best stuff.

TAKEN FROM ANOTHER FORUM.

Grab which ever one you like the look of TBH.

^^^ Fully enclosed design, you have to retain the stock plastic engine mount.

^^^ Fully enclosed design, incorporates rear engine mount.

^^^ Vented design, incorporates rear engine mount.

All these require no additional parts. Although a 12.9 grade pinion bolt would be a good investment.

The other option is the TR system which gives you a custom clutchbell with a wider shaft (heh.. shaft), 1 piece gear plate and a fully enclosed (with a very fine vent) carrier or a "racing" version which is styled more on the original 3 arm/leg design and requires the plastic engine mount. This obviously costs more.

The choice is up to you... good luck.
