engine don't start...

Hi there!!!

Please somebody help...

I have a problem with my engine...

Since i bought my Rally i used it only a few times like 1 sunday every 3 months...


And every single time its a epic fail to start the engine...

i do make a maintenance in the engine because i know that it will be stoped for a long time.

but this time my arms almost fell off my body trying to make the engine start and it just wont start.

what should i do!?

Do all of the usual things:
1. Are you certain there's fuel in the tank - silly but true sometimes?
2. Is it pulling fuel through as the engine turns - blockage?
3. Is there a disconnected wire anywhere - might have a kill switch?
4. Is the plug OK? Is it giving a spark - careful when you test? (There'll be guides on this forum how to do this safely.)
5. Is the HT lead connected to the plug?
6. What does the plug look like? Try changing the plug anyway.
7. Check the wires at the engine end as well.
8. Similar to 2., is it priming OK? Can you see fuel moving through?

How was it running the last time you ran it?
Where were you running it? Was it very dusty? Might need to at least clean the air filter - hoping there's no dirt inside the engine itself which has well documented effects on this forum !!
Sometimes, it may be the carburettor that needs replacement gaskets.
Check the basics first.

its a mistery...

engine is geting fuel, sparck plug ok, fuel line ok, maybe the kill switch... but it seems to be working ok...

darn... im going to make a full maintenance in it again..

and last time i use it on my farm... grass.

after that i cleaned everything...

disconect the kills switch and try a bench start.

i was going to stay try a new plug but if its getting spark cant be that.

problem solved...

i made a full maintenance... and everything was ok...

so i put everything back together... AND...

Nothing...
heheheh

So i looked to my fuel...
It was at least 2 months old...

So i got new gas and put in the gas tank.. and it started...

Soooo i think the problem was old gasoline...

Must have been really old fuel as I have no problems with slightly old - read up to 3 months' old.
I am in UK, so ambient temperature may play a part !!

Sooooo... i bought a new engine...

that i believe to be a very good engine...

I was thinking on buying a 26cc zenoah but i though since there is no 1/5 racing here in brasil(sao paulo anyway) i choose the big one.
