As I was trolling red-cats website I saw 2 different crown gears and diff gears to accommodate the difference in the two.I have never noticed it before and could be a fumble to the unknowing buyer! Why 2 different setups.

I see! I was looking to replace the crown and diff gear 11t because mine are looking a little hammered and saw the different one's. Is there a better set of the 2 gears that you would recommend

I have straight gears in it now...ok not so straight anymore lol. My gears are beat up and have gone through 3 rear diff housings in a month and figured its the crown and diff gear F-ing things up from poor mesh

I recently went through the same problem. My rear crown gear broke and I was confused with the 2 different types of gears. I would recommend putting a new helical pinion and crown gear in it, the helical gears look to be better quality.

Chassis flex is notorious for kill'n the rear diff housings.

I'm sure your right about the flex being the factor in it! Now that I think about it there was a big jump involved in the session every time so time to stiffen it up with a plate and see how she does
