al im think its msc as well mate from @98-99 his helmet colours changed I think when rubens joined Ferrari as he had a similar design helmet to schumachers with the blue top

any way f1 Ferrari's nearly ready to roll again steering servo turned up today that's in and working ive set the endpoints so it cant hit the alloy wishbones need to set it up next

ok time to step things up a bit

first mod was a rare old billet cnc engine mount/quick release bracket in red this was a ebay sniped part and a unreal price under £4 posted and it was brand new

this needed some work for me to get it fitting right and straight, plus I had to drill centre of the quick release part clutch side im thinking this part was meant for the solo line of engines

that's the first upgrade/mod all done,, more to come

here we go the best mod that's just perfect for this Ferrari f1 build possibly the best 23cc Zenoah money can buy who would like to see what 7+hp 22500+rpm and a true 23cc thanks to a very special crank shaft 28.6mm stroke giving this mighty little zen 7.2hp 4.2nm plus the best bit made in Italy

first pic looks no different to any Zenoah

100_1739_zps42919640.jpg
100_1737_zpsb8c41817.jpg

that's all for now as you can imagine the owners probably skint after that lot,, more to come soon

time for some more updates first up new diff a oddie harm mag diff this was a real pain to fit due to the f1 running belts as the outside dia of diff was larger than inside of rear diff pulley so the dremel sorted that

100_2053_zpsaf3612bb.jpg

ive also been playing with carbon fibre on the boat and just had to skin the f1's filter

100_2048_zps8672dc66.jpg
100_2045_zps24040e2c.jpg

have also fitted a oddified mk2 ecu

new rear spoiler scsm2 waiting on the carbon fibre blades as wrong ones were sent

100_2046_zps3c41811e.jpg
100_2047_zps105ee84e.jpg

this next mod is a bit more involved and big respect to the owner for letting me do this as there was no turning back but the mod just makes sense and looks like it should have came that way

this involved cutting the side supports moving the brake and throttle servos and fitting 2 standard servos for steering lowering the whole lot down and making it a fair bit neater I used a 3mm sheet of carbon/grp made a custom servo tray I have a little more work to do but I think it looks great

100_2044_zps9dbfc8f4.jpg
100_2041_zps004a76d2.jpg

thinking of making new sides from carbon I need to move hydro master cylinder to try and get linkage a bit straighter will be spending a bit of time with wiring as its got to be tidy need to sort a switch but its getting there

no mate closest to kers we can do al is kerbs lol we have thought about drs though but I would like to see a old skool 70's-80's bodyshell made for it

day 2 on the radio tray build nearly done just need to wire in switch and voltage gauge then set all the end points and linkages

went with the carbon sides looks real good car feels as stiff if not stiffer I managed to fit brake master cylinder where I wanted it so it lines up nice with servo cant wait to try it

Hi,
That looks great!
Nice job on the carbon mod, what thickness carbon did you use and where did you get it from???
I'm looking to buy a FG F1 and hope on doing this mod also

Thanks

You have some serious know how Renbar, very cool. I noticed you put the tps kit in this car too. I guess it's worth the $300? What kinda performance gains do you get with that kit? I've read it helps cool the motor better, do you run cooler now or just better performance?
