Hi all I have an FG marder and have been running it on some cheap 2-stroke oil and I'm just wondering witch would be best to run it on ? without causing any hard wear and tare on engine ?

Also I'm new to large scale RC's so take it easy :) :D

if u are running a aftermarket engine,, such as gizmo,, or obr,, each has there own recommendations for their engines,, generally,,, stick with oil made for motocross/ dirtbikes,,, better quality such as maxima, klotz etc

It's the original Zenoha engine :)

Ika - 1st post so Welcome to LSF.

I am told that if you have already been using 'normal' oil, then do not use 100% synthetic, but blended oil.

Castor oil used in some oils - and since the 1st World War in aircraft - lines the bores and can in some circumstances become abrasive I think.

If your engine is new, then no problem.

I use Castrol 100% synthetic - never a problem.
