Hi guys, i haven't had much chance to use the onroad much lately as i have been dedicating my time and funds on different toys but i am trying to move forward with my fg lwb sportsline project and wondered what colour springs and what viscosity of oil you are using in the front and rear. Will be used on carparks and other concreted open spaces.I have heard off one or two members before but would like to know what you are running, thank you.

I can't give you a specific answer but you'll need to run heavier oil in the front than the back, best guess would be 7000wt in the front and 5000wt in the back. With the springs it's all down to trial and error.

Hi mate, I run a Genius XR and I run 7000 and red springs front, 4000 blue springs back, not sure about weather the Genius springs have the same ratings as FG but that's what I run.

If you have low grip then you want the car softer.

Brad.

Thing is Brad, it's a plastic fantastic sportsline so it's behave differently to a full alloy comp car too. If you turn up to a Wombwell club meeting or halifax national then there will be people on hand to help out.

thanks again buddy, i should just pm you from now on, with all the advise i recieve from you!!!!lol.it is plastic fantastic, sort off as ive been sourcing alloy parts for it over the past couple of months of owning it, just that it always seems to take the back burner as i am more involved with getting my other fg's upgraded, but now i brought a km baja a week ago that i have already started doing up and am in negotiation on an mcd rally in the next few days i think, i suppose if i just had 1 or 2 , they would be complete alloy by now instead of part alloy!lol. Ive only been into large scale or any scale rc cars for 6 months, i think after a year or two they will be alloy, but i don't think i will go to wombwell as i just into bashing here and there, maybe when i am more experienced and my onroad has more upgrades, i will go see what its about cheers abuddy, and thanks super 654,

I know Mike, I was just telling him what I run, I've seen the sportsline set some quick lap times years ago.
