Just thought I'd share a couple of photos of my car which is now ready for racing in the BRCA LSOR national series. I've run the car at the Nook Raceway at Wakefield in their winter series where it performed very well. Aside from a 2mm groove thats been milled along the belt channel to help reduce friction, spring and shock oil options, the car is run out of the box.

It is incredibly stable and rides the bumps as well as the 2wd version. On wet astro turf, the car has been described as looking like a 2wd car but with grip and traction rather than wobbling round the track like most other 4wd cars.

I'm using the Oddified "Black spec" engine from www.oddified.com I was running and engine from another tuner but having recently done back to back testing, the Oddified engine is by far the best option in many ways.

During the winter series, a couple of us have been testing the FG 170mm dia wheels that come standard with the kit - I've got to say that we're very impressed. They come in hard, medium and soft compounds, we've only used the medium and soft versions (soft for the wet & medium for the dry). On astro turf, they're very good and the wear rate is excellent.

Milling a groove along the chassis for belt relief is a "must" requirement for these cars.
I didn't even get 1/2 way into the build before I stripped my car down and put the chassis up on the milling machine.

A good upgrade I did was get the FG wheel squares with the two pins in them as they help prevent the wheel from rounding out and the FG alloy wheel nut with a grub screw retaining system as I was losing wheels.

Good looking paint job BTW.
