FG Shock questions

Hey guys,

Ok I have been trying to figure out my shock issues. It turns out that my shocks are duratrax firehammer shocks and they don't make them anymore so trying to find softer springs has been not fun at all. I found a few on ebay but only one set is the length I need.

So now I am considering buying new shocks all together. Are the 66292's the shocks I need? Right length and all? Or should I go with the Cad ones (Y1241)

Guys any regarding shocks for the truck will be awesome. The set up on the truck now is WAY to hard. And yes it is all spring.

if you go with FG shocks then use the original FG oils

a good starting point is front 3000wt oil ;)

rear 2000wt oil but may need to alter depending what

rear springs you use.......i found with a full alloy back end, it would

not return to well

second that, my original stock shocks even with heavier springs & thicker oil had almost 0 return due to my FG being pretty much all alloy, but when i bought the ones i posted above with some black springs, they do the job spot on & for the price = win win :)
