So I am getting my order ready, and figured some spares are a must.

At some point I will head into a corner to fast, and walls happen. Crashes with other cars happen... So what likes to break on these cars? In my 10th scale front A arms were a solid spare. Although I got stuffed into the corner hard enough once I broke a wheel completely off the hub.

Also any must haves? Springs? Oils? Gear sets? Aluminum diff(is the stock one crap)?

Being a veteran to 1/10 electric on road, this is like learning the hobby all over again for me. Kind of exciting :)

thanks :)

If were you i'd be talking to the guys at the track for advice and tips. I'm sure someone will be willing to help the new guy.
They'll be better able to advise you with tires/setups/spares etc then me just winging it- (You know what I mean). You'll need at least basic tools/ loctite/ screws etc.
Im jealous you have a place to race.???

Must have's.....

Alloy engine mounts
Alloy gear carrier
Nothing but metal gears
Alloy hubs
Adjustable Diff
Outterware covers
HD Dogbones
HD Drive Cups
Alloy Rear Brake Caliper
KillerBee Kill Switch

And if you have some extra $$$

Alloy servo plate
Alloy Adjustable Servo Saver

You got a 4wd too! I got a lot of catching up to do lol..... Yea DDM or if you can wait and willing to pay more hobbythek has everything. They're across the pond though.

@Striikar might be able to offer other options but I've only ordered from those 2 besides ebay.

Yeah i bought the porsche 4wd kit. Then ordered a deltaplastic McLaren f1 body. In reading im looking to upgrade the gears and carrier to metal.
I'll see if my losi 5ive servo fits the fg steering
Figure if it could swing the 5 tires it will work on-road

Yup the steering servo will fit. Get a nice brake servo along with alloy servo plate when you can. Gears, your gonna wanna stick to 26/38 or 20/44 being 4wd and they don't make them in steel. I have all the gears sets if you wanna meet one day and give them a shot before you buy I'm game.

Oh chit, they do make a steel 38t gear!

If you plan on track racing, then at least 3 or 4 different types of tires, and at least 2 sets of each.
Unless foam (even hard foam) then a half dozen sets of each.

Yeah, you may be better (seriously) getting a 3D printer (if you do not already have one). As you can use original part(s) as template (if needed) Or look up part, as there are tons of places that have already done just that, so you only need the correct build file (90% of time free of charge), and build item(s) per your specs.
(like hardness/softness/longer/shorter/ extra features/ etc..) You get the gist.

Now if you want harder parts, I do suggest getting a printer capable of all filaments, (even if you are not going to use carbon fiber).
You have that option (as well Ruby tips, are worth it (well to me). So no you do not have to buy them, as each tip is expensive for what it is.
But if you go that route, do what I did, just use brass tips (hardened, of course) until you find size you use most. Then just buy Ruby tip, in that size.

Again, not saying buying anything. This was all just a suggestion. (buy and enjoy, what you want.)
This is hobby for me (at best), a waste of my time and money (at most).
If I could trade it all in for hugs and kisses from loved ones, I would go that route. (as money means nothing to me, and certainly not "stuff")...

Anyhow, enjoy. the new FG awd. (I am sure you already are doing so. (y)

Bro his post was from last yr  Mark is all squared away at this point. DDM is fully stocked with everything FG and 3D printers are NOT good for making 1/5 scale parts..... But if your really looking to trade in all your stuff, depending on what ya got I would gladly give you a hug for all of it. I'll even throw in a kiss from Z (y)

Thanks Monster, for the vote of confidence (I only posted here, as I saw him react on a similar post I made, THIS YEAR).
Hence, it was pertinent to HIM, not you (or Rep732.

But again, thanks for your input; MUCH appreciated. (mucho grande)
