Yeah...same model. It didn't have the cage, body or wheels on it though. A guy brought it in to the LHS to get it the ESC set up...
It's heavy as F*** too...don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing but the stock truck is billet aluminium everything.
It kind of made the Vekta look like a toy.
The wheel hubs are similar to the IRP wheel hubs but the FID uses 5 screws instead of 4.
Tooling marks on the rear axle look way better in person than they do in a picture.

I'm kind of pissed i only took 1 picture of it now.....
I probably wont see another one in person again....

One thing that did catch my eye under all that aluminum....
It has a dual servo setup for steering....it user those JX 1/5 scale servos but the lay flat...one in front of the other...I didn't get pics of it though.

Hi
Im new to this forum and just wanted to share my thoughts on the voltz.
I bought the Voltz in february and have done quite a lot of running with it. Generally very satisfyed with the car even if there are some weak spots. Been running mostly sand tracks but also some bash running.
Here is my last bash run.

How long of a run can you get? What S and mah are you running?
It depends on track condition and temp. In
On 8S 15k mah 15 min runtime is typical on offroad track. A bit longer on most bash spots(not as much start-stop running).
8S is plenty power with the 70mmx120 stock motor... have tried lower s but that makes on sense since it is soft enough in the throttle curve on 8.

I burnt an identical esc in another 1/5scale on 12S so i don't dare to try that in the dragon.

Ouch! are they expensive???
That depends. Car, lipos and motor survived so it could have been much worse. But the esc was toast and that is about 4000SEK= about 400 dollars.
Probable cause was a rock or maybe the brake disks jamming the drivetrain when I tried to reverse. That overloaded the ESC so it shorted and the battery connectors melted(the gray smoke in video) .
On 8S things like this don't seem to be an issue.

Suggestion put a 30.5 ect (gas motor) has no esc problem solved ??????

True. But this car and also my other 1/5 electric have done a lot of running the last year and proven to be very reliable on 8s. A gasser is not more reliable. Then there is the weight of the Dragon. It is a 24-25 kg car with 230mm wheels. That car NEEDS a large cc motor to be fun. I have driven the petrol version w stock 36cc engina and that is really underpowerd...
30.5cc is good in a baja but not in this behemoth

Yes it goes well. But it has smaller wheels and probably is not geared for more than50 kph. The mcd in the clip has a top speed w track gearing of 68 mph (video). Impossible on track with big understeer issues and ztw esc has not good throttle curve on 12s. 8s is like a really good gasser .
3 vids. 1 dragonhammer and my brushless mcd buggy both with ztw esc
2speedrun 70 mph
3 crawling on 8s

Just a few more close up pictures of the beast...
