can i cut my own gaskets from a gasket sheet for the head and etc

as long as you get the proper thickness. most common is the .020 gasket. some stroked motors need thicker gaskets to get clearance at the squish band.

i would ask what motor is it for. and then try to sourse the proper thickness material you need.

Why not just order them with your new ring they are not that much?
