ground clearance

I saw a thread from end of last year on making higher ground clearance to maybe cut droop tabs. Will this hurt anything? Can I get more on my MT if I use the limiting cables to save shocks when I cut off tabs?

I was thinking the same thing with cutting the drop tabs. But I did this before on a buggy I had and what had happened was my CV axles also came out more. That being said they kept popping out and destroyed both diff cups and axles. What I would do is get a mini torch and heat them tabs up then bend them down a bit. Never cut!!! You can always bend them back.

Yes true. I have all my cvds greased and booted snug to keep friction down. They also have limiting straps for suspension.
