Yup, its gonna become borderline hot up here as the dome of hot air pumps north. I am @ 1,780 ft here in Pilot Rock.- 75 miles north on here is the city of Kennewick, Wa.- forecast is 103+ by next tuesday there. " When the weather outside is so fright ful - the basement is sooo de light ful-- " lol. Theres been so much rain weeks ago, the forest floor is gonna be a tinder box when the sun dries it all out- dry lightning is forecast in the coming days---

I have several relatives that live in the Seattle area. Not all of them have central AC. I know their not look'n forward to Tuesday.

Over on the coast, there is the humidity to deal with also. The electric rate at my location is about .11 cents per kilowatt hour- then add paying for small dam removal- ect-ect- its as bad as the phone bill is- added on top of the basic rate- then there is the "smart meters " They are digital. Where the old analog meters missed the added surge of electricity required to start appliances- the start-run capasitors on the washer-florecent lights- ect, the digital meters record every thing with out fail. -- yes, the old people should be checked on for there own good.

we've been having a heatwave with lots of humidity here in canada as well, though it seems to be easing up a bit. i actually like the humidity for some reason, especially at night. it brings back good memories. :)

the hottest temps we've gotten so far were around 100.

Not much of a heat wave here in N.S.W Australia 10 deg Celcius I think that's about 50 deg fahrenhiet there.

wishing it would warm up a little and stop raining so I could break out the XBE ;)

I have seen it so hot in Ajo, Az that the birds would come out of the desert wash - by the dozens and latch onto the sides of the swamp cooler to drink the cool water! The lizards always had one foot in the air- continually switching positions -heres one for ya-- all my tires valve cores started leaking, i had to replace them with valve cores that had a red plastic seal. the standard black rubber seals on a valve core could not take the heat off the road. --- desert trivia--

It's warm, 112 today, tomorrow and all through the holiday. I'm in my "Man Cave" (the 5er) and had to open the circuit breaker panel door and ventilate it with a fan to keep the air conditioner CB from tripping. Wednesday we'll be at the lake, which isn't any cooler, but there is the water.
