HELP ! FS Truck possible clutch dilemma

I own a FS King Kong MT converted to 4wd. I don't believe the truck ever did roll freely on its own while off or running. I am fairly new to 1/5 scale gas rc. I ran Nitro trucks for 4yrs prior.

Question 1- should the truck roll freely either running or not running ?

I get gear clanging when I push the truck while not running but it will roll freely in reverse.

Also, the running and I let off the gas, the truck coasts but makes all kind of gear noise. I rebuilt both diffs when purchased new since the manuf does a poor job from the start so I know its not the diffs. I don't think the brakes are hanging up either. All I can think is the clutch but don't want to tear into it and be wrong. I did a sight check on the trans gears and the dog bones -all look ok.

Question 2 -is the FS CN 30CC engine clutch compatible with a clutch from HPI or Zenoa ?

I would like to get a better or upgraded clutch if that is the issue.
I know I am losing total power and stressing the engine.

Questions 3 - where can I get a new gasket for the exhaust at a reasonable price ?

question 1: YES

Question 2: if it has 8mm clutch bolts a zen clutch is a direct fit, or it it has a clutch with 10mm bolt holes its a cy clutch like the hpi

Questions 3: where are you from so i can gicve that advice
 
FS Clutch issue

I am from Gurnee, IL. The truck still runs but is making all kind of gear noise. I was waiting for it to lock up before tackling this problem. You say I should replace the clutch ?
 
im from australia so i have know idea where Gurnee, IL i asume the usa ?

as for gear noise, its normaly from gears that do not have corect mesh, to loose or to tight, this makes them noisy.

also i not sure but i think the clutch spring might be broken
