Hey all,
A friend of mines son has a high wing .40 sized nitro plane he got used. It is missing the horizontal stab, elevator, and rudder...he has a vertical stab that I was going to attempt to use as a reference to build out the rest.
I feel I should now confess, I haven't actually "built" an airplane since I was in high school, and even then it was from plans.
My questions are related to size...should I make the horizontal stabs the same general size as the vertical? What hinges should I use for the control surfaces? Nylon? I feel like I have forgotten more than I ever knew about balsa/monocote planes...got used to foamies that require little to no build time. I will get some pics up here in a sec...
