Naw that's the first one to be cooked. It was determined (by me) my spektrum one was doa...that decision was made when they took it back right away with no questions asked...shortly after that model was discontinued. The savox one...stripped gears immediately back to back. Had best luck with these hitechs honestly.

I would buy the HiTec's again they are very well made servos and they have great customer service. They are a bit loud and you have tons of people using them.I have heard horror stories about Savox servos and you stand by them so I would take your personal first hand opinion over some idiot online?

Only getting one for now, once @Haric gets his twin servo mount finished up I'll get another. Just want to get this darn 5ive together and run it.
Designing the servo mount was the easy part?I’m trying to figure out how to split the drawing so I can machine it in 2 parts. It’s driving me nuts lol

Wow. I thought it was just bad luck on my part to have the 845 go on me like this, seems I was wrong. Even had it set to the correct 300hz. It caused a hell of a lot of damage all the way back to the reciever melting everything in its path.

I was wondering about the power cables but thought that I'm only running 2 hitec 845' I would be just about ok. 1 for throttle/brake and 1 for steering. The only thing different i did was use a surface mounted XT60 for a replacement on/off switch, rest of the wiring was cheap compared to a new switch.

I had a spektrum S9120BL on my k8 and it was a nasty servo. @1450oz no problem turning those wheels pro line badlands.

at $230 is little expensive but is worth it. You also get a nice warranty through horrizon.
