The question I have here is, if you are running a HPI Baja 5B or 5T, would you rather have a Silenced or Unsilenced tuning pipe?
Both these pipes produce the same output, unbelievable results in performance and documented by more then one party.

The silenced version is quiet, matter of fact, it is probably the most neighborhood friendly tuned pipe made today, the important thing is to have it perform and look good all at the same time.
Well, I think we accomplished this with the VRC tuning pipes, I will include a link with more information.

All information found here: http://www.pro5thscale.com/vrc_tuning_pipes

The dyno result shows the VRC pipe compared to the rear Dom, there have been more then a few dyno results from different parties, all with the same results.

Thanks
Pete

boy alot of this is going to boil down to a couple things. 1st would be preferance. 2nd would be some cant use un silenced due to noise restrictions.
for me, if performance is basically the same, i prefer un silenced. just love to hear the full 2stroke tunes.

I prefer to hear my pipe also. I do like the way the unsilence pipe stinger exits the end can to the side and not down toward the back like the other.

The silenced look like it will be a solid welded pipe can. The problem I could see with that is it would put the responsibility on the buyer to modify it so as to repack it when the packing gets full of oil residue.
Another thing I notice is the stinger points out and down where it could poke into the ground and fill it with debris.

Both do look cool though.:cool2:

Edit: Just talking about the 5B pipe.
