And now I need a wheelie bar. Decided to try some Badlands MX57s and it's excellent, even with a 20T pinion (19T drive). Was surprised to find that it now does wheelies mid-run, which I assume is because the revs arr hanging more in the peak power RPMs instead of going past. I'm going to try a 19T once DDM gets them back in stock, as I feel that will be the sweet spot.

Anyone else done something like this? If so, how did it go and which wheels/tires did you use?

It works really well with the G320 powerband. DDM finally got the 19t pinions in stock. Will try that soon. I'm thinking it will be the sweet spot.
really wish i like my baja more but trying to sell it to get large scale trophy truck gas just ain't my thing

As an update on this: I'm now running the MadMax Giant Grips on the front. Adds more front grip, looks better with the rears, and adds just enough weight to keep the nose down.

P.S It peaks at ~53mph on grass with 19t pinion. With street tires in same rear size it does ~67mph with the same.

Taylor 35 reed case.
Dang, it must scoot, given how fast mine is with a ported g320. I highly suggest trying some ~8" kraton wheels on the rear. I feel it matches a baja at this power level better than stock size.

I think that would rather mess up my gearing , But they do look good.
Taller effective gearing was actually my primary reason for doing it. The baja is so light that I felt I was wasting the power I had, even with a 20T, and also spending more time above peak power than I wanted.

With this setup I'm still traction limited at low speeds on anything but grass while getting a huge increase in top end.

Ohh. I have no idea what that is. I'll look it up! What gearing are you running?

Did another set of runs with cooler temperatures and retorqued exhaust manifold.

Top speed: 73.16mph
0-60: 3.69s
