hasn't been run in awhile, sitting in a shed, what ya's think it worth?

Question : exactly how long has this engine been sitting ? We talking month's or years ? Very important question for you to truthfully know, here's why. If I may give you some advice. 2 strokes do NOT fear well when they "hasn't been run in awhile, sitting in a shed". I'm about 90% confident in saying that engine's lower end is now junk from not being properly fogged prior to storage. When I put my 2 strokes "to sleep" for the winter I use a special 2 stroke fogging oil :

Fogging oil coats the engine bearings and internals and prevents rust buildup from condensation. If that engine has been sitting in a shed, the warm days and cold nights are the worst scenario for condensation and rust. At minimum I would move forward with extreme caution and assume the crank is ready to seize from rust. Lastly Ethanol in the fuel goes bad very quickly, and Walboro carbs quickly become clogged from ethanol "green death" spooge. Assume the carb needs to be rebuilt or replaced. If the seller say's "hasn't been run in a year" you assume it really hasn't been run in 4 years. Ask the seller to at least get the engine running.

In that state it would fetch 180-250usd at the very most. With a few solid hop ups we are getting to 300. 350 is RTR. Put in gas, press button and the thing goes. Beyond 350 is with good hop ups, non standard engine etc. 5b's doesn't fetch a lot here. The market is saturated with them and it is considered a "kiddies first large scale" so many of them shift hands over and over. Very good and upgraded ones can fetch 1000+ but then we are starting to talk shelf queen standard. The guy is out of his mind asking 700 for it. If it is euro we are talking, I assume he need to take his meds.

What Polar Bus said is powerful a whack with teh troof stick!

edit; Just looked closer. The thing is full of rust. don't touch it with a fiddlesticking 10 foot pole on fire or offer him 180usd, final offer.
Just to show you that I am not completely full of it. Here is one that just went for sale at our local trade hotspot

The kind of money he is asking would get you this;
