In my quest for dialing in one of my hpi bajas steering for small tight street track racing i wanted to increase my throw and steering angles with the stock steering setup. I know the better way to go is a push pull symmetrical steering system but before i go that $80 route i wanted to see what i can get out of a bone stock setup. All stock plastic a arms steering wipers hub carriers ect. I started off by grinding out the hub carriers to not hit the lower front a arms as soon. This made the plastic part of the steering turnbuckels hit the front shocks. So i added spm nuts as spacers to move the turnbuckle mounts back off the hub carriers. I then space the turnbuckell from the servo horn to wiper to 12mm. Then mount that servo horn buckel to the higher bolt hole slot (stock uses lower bolt hole) so far i definitely have more available turing range on my front wheels.
