Quite a few people have been asking how to install a Hitec 5745/5755 steering servo on an MT/TT. So I decided to do a small write up.
The 5745 and 5755 are great steering servos. The only problem is that the mounting holes on the servo case do not line up with the mounting holes on the MT/TT mounts. This is an easy fix.
1. Take the mounts off of the MT/TT and remove the stock servo. Removing the mount makes the process a lot easier.
2. With the servo off, you'll see four nubs on the mount. You want to Dremel off the two top mounts. As shown below with the red circles. Leave the two bottom nubs intact, you'll use them to mount the new servo.

3. Now mount the new servo using the lower nubs. With the servo mounted, drill two new holes using the servo case mounts as a guide. As shown below with the red circles.

4. With the new holes drilled, finish mounting the servo. I used the stock screws.

5. Repeat the process for the other servo mount. The holes at the very top are the old mounting holes. Marked with the red circles.

I hope this was easy to follow. I really don't know how I could simplify the presentation. Anyway, hopefully this is useful to someone.
