Does anyone have any experience with the cone intake filters? I saw some on largescale and they look pretty good I'm just unsure of how well they filter and their durability.

Yes,I have a reed set ,from O'NEILL BROTHERS on my BAJA 5B. There wasn't alot of room

for a air filter. So I used a pancake air filter from DDM .It is kind of the same as a cone filter, just shaped a little different. They come with velocity stacks that bolt on to the

carburator. If they are not on straight ,and tightend very well. Some dust can get through

the velocity stack and in between the rubber. That is the only problem, that I have had..

I carry spray oil with me,and spray the filter down.I ran it in a baseball diamond, where

there was mega dust. The filter was total caked with dust, and didn't go through the filter,

at all....

Just a little got through the stack and rubber. You need to make sure the filter is on straight ,and tight...When I got home I took the filter off,and cleaned with water in the kitchen sink.

Used a fan to dry it,then sprayed with oil, brand new.......

I plan on using a cone filter, on my RAMPAGE,that would not fit the BAJA 5B,with the reeds.I like the way they look, they work great as long as there on straight.......

This Is Max I Have One Also.just A Littel Oil On It Keeps Dust Out.

for extra insurance with my pancake on my fg I cut the fg foam filter down to fit inside it...it still breathes perfectly and is now 2 stage and I run outerwears too. I've had dust go in an engine before and destroy it so I don't take any chances...I run the hpi filter on my ramp with outerwears
