so a nitro? if so then yes, nitros can be used with a P/S, a bump box, or a roto starter.

what motor is it and on what rc?

Is that a pic of it in your avatar? Looks a bit like a Traxxas T-Maxx. I've never heard of that kind of nitro engine.

yes that is it........it may be a traxxas with a different body i don't know

You can get a Traxxas Motor with the Electric start system, yet if you have a pullstart motor on you truck, you may longer have all the necessary gear to use E-start. You can switch to a motor that has a Roto Start System, Which enables you to start it with a drill or hand held rotostart system. You best bet is to browse a magazine such as car action which will have advertisers that offer conversions, or just buy a motor that has the roto start back plate. Good luck, and if you find out what type of vehicle, maybe you should search for websites specific to your model where others can better assist you.
