Previously, I posted an article, entitled, 'IS A KILL SWITCH REALLY NECESSARY?' AND in less than 2 months after that, I'm prepared to shout it from the rooftop, that YES! KILL SWITCHES ARE VERY NECESSARY!!!!

WHAT BROUGHT ABOUT THE CHANGE OF HEART?

Simple: I lost power on my transmitter, BUT INSTEAD OF THE CHEAP FAILSAFE UNIT IN MY REDCAT RAMPAGE XR, GOING INTO FULL BRAKE, IT WENT INTO FULL THROTTLE! I was lucky, my rc vehicle was pointing into my garage and not on the street, where I was running her, previously. THE MODEL, AT FULL REVS, SCREAMED INTO MY OPEN GARAGE, CRASHED INTO A LAWN MOWER, BROKE THE BUMPER L, BUSTED A FRONT SHOCK, AND DID OTHER FRONTAL DAMAGE! The crash was massive. Scary.

Since then, I've suspended running my Redcat Rampage XR, until I can get myself a 3-channel radio, and Killer Bee Kill switch.
