KM 2 speed? worth it?

I just got the KM 1-speed right now and I'm content since all I do is bashing mostly, but that said, is the 2 speed worth the investment?

I have the 3speed in my savage but for the Baja I'd like to keep it as reliable as possible when I'm out in the sand pitts.

Advice?

Also, anyone have any advice on the best bang for my buck re: front brake kits?
 
I wouldn't recommend the 2speed for bashing. I see the 2sp as an option for someone who simply wants to go fast in a straight line.

Plus they are headaches to get dialed in from what i've read.

yah if ur just short trackin and bashin i see no need for the 2 speed, just a good middle of the road gear set or even the 17/57 will suffice.

i get to run mine in those situations and also some high speed runs in the field and road, so for right now, in my situations, i like the 2 speed on mine.

haven't had any OWB probs yet, as it seems from what i hear thats the most problematic part to go out.

I agree here with Ed, There is not as maney probs with the 2 speed as some say but i did have a OWB go out and I think it was due to gear mesh being a little tight creating a little to much heat in the gears but that was an easey fix. I love streaking across a field or down a road and 2nd gear kicks in you better hold the remote tight:D

But I am finding that I do more bashing or smaller runs on fields thats making me wonder if I should just go single speed due to 2nd gear does not even come into play.
