quick question I’m trying to install the modified rc discs. First question is the o ring inside the disc does it sit on the outside of it? Also whenever I try to tighten the pads on they don’t go all the way through and leave a lot of thread, but if tight obviously the front pad is dragging constantly.

Sounds like you need shorter hardware. Are you reusing the stock hardware? Sometimes it doesn't work with new alloy parts. Has happened to me multiple times.

I don't see the oring in these pics but definitely looks like the bolts go all the way thru.

Got something to do with, look how far back your actual disc sits compared to mine. But on these modified rc ones it’s pushed as far back as they will go. May just stick the stock discs back on

That's not mine. I found the pic on the web to try and help. I wouldn't get this diff because it doesn't look split.

mine came with bolts designed for each side .?....u gota use specific ones on one side that much i do know?
and rhe thin nuts?

Yeah looks like the thin nuts go on the spur gear side

I’ve seen the instructions says the longer pair of bolts go through the “front”, and shorter pair to the rear “spur gear” side. If anyone’s got one of these towers some pics up??

Do you have a tap? Threads might be a little booged. Take and run a tap thru it to clean up the threads so the bolt will go all the way thru.

Ffs discs must only go on way?. Anyway finally back together lol. First time ripping one of these down so will be a lot better next time?

shock another problem! Gear mesh feels way too tight, once the diff tower is slackened off feels nice and smooth as soon as tightened it’s too tight. It’s the stock pinion and spur. Anyone know what size engine spacers I need to use?

You can always run without the spacers no? Neither my dbxl or mtxl has them. I just slide the engine where I want it and tighten them down. Never had a issue yet.

on my 5ive im sure i have either odd spacers and 1 or 2 the wrong way round ?...but it meshed up fine so i left it as is?...u may need to play with ur spacers ?
