Well I have one question about layshaft gear before I buy one. If go up in teeth on the layshaft gear would it give me little more speed?????

Yes, but you are going to have to make another diff brace. The triangular piece of alloy (mine is steel in the pic) that holds the large motor mount to the rear bulkheads.

You may be able to get away with just elongating the mounting holes.

yup. some have the slot ovalled. with on road you will find you have more gearing options because the combos are different

with the larger spurs you have to add up the pinion and spur. but when you get down to the 40 spur, you can actually use the next closest pinion because of gear sizes...

24/40 works. 23/40. 25/40 etc. so just order a couple spurs and pinions and experiment. the changes will be less drastic.
