Did anybody notice when you click on what's new that coming in March it has parts listed for the 5ive-R?

I didn't really look at the parts, but I'd just assume they are the new revisions of the 5ive parts for the new Rally. 5ive-R R=Rally version

hat's off to losi, they are moving forward...unlike HPI that are stagnating and waiting to die.

now we just need to see 4 strokes come of age, with efi and ecu's, fueling 4 bangers with forced induction will be pretty easy...it's getting close to it being worthwhile investing in a gx35 to start fiddling...shame rbinnovations wont reply to my emails and give me any real boost figures for their supercharger (probably as it doesn't make any psi:rolleyes:) if it made 5psi then one could probably get the gx35 to make some decent hp

I can't see blower working on these engines to be honest.

Wonder if this injection system will hold out to the test of time. There is a hell of a lot of vibration through these cars and I think if the ECU isn't made decent or isn't in potting compound there is going to be a few miffed buyer...we'll see:rolleyes:

Easy, I'd rather Hpi take the time and release a competitive product than rush a platform that will be quickly forgotten for poor performance. Yes I admit Losi is top trumps right now, but this may well be the reason HPI is putting the brakes on their release dates. The 5B was untouchable for how many years? Now I look at it as a scale looking model, but a poor driving experience and horrible maintenance schedule.
Keep in mind both companies undergo recent leadership changes and require investors and support to stay profitable, not just selling kits........

Personally, I hope the new Rally car is basically a 5ive-T with a better motor with EFI, better servos and electric start. It would be nice for guys that have a lot of spare parts laying around, ie control arms, shocks, etc., to be able to use that stuff on the Rally 5ive without having to buy more parts.

So if I buy the body and run the HPI rear wheels all around and install the front and rear bumpers I would have a bad a$$ open wheeler. Install it on my brushless and it would be stupid fast as well.
