Losi 5t 1.0 leaking gas

ok, I have an older losi 5t that I don't run to often, and I do start it up every weekend just to run it. I went start it up this weekend and noticed the whole chassis was covered in fuel and noticed the carb was leaking from the intake side on the bottom where the intake bolts on the front. pulled the intake and it was filled with fuel on the bottom side. it was basically flooded, but I am baffled as to why it continued to feed fuel while the motor was off?? so I figured I might have dirt in the carb, so I swapped it with a new one, started it tuned it ran great!! that was sunday night. last night I looked at it, and It was leaking again in the same area!!!! im baffled. so obviously it isnt the carb. what am I missing??

Most likely your building pressure in your tank. Look at the tank vent.

X2. Is it sitting somewhere hot?

Take the cap off the tank and see if it still floods on its own and if not then I am with the two much smarter and well versed gentlemen above me.

I removed the stock gas cap, put on a vented hpi baja one I had, all good now, was building pressure. thanks
