I am researching brushless kits and these two i like for the "kit" part. I am a cheap bastard and will piece it together if necessary but i will also pay up for a nicely engineered and quality kit. For those that went brushless do you have a Pro/Con with these choices?

RRC Losi 5T 2.0 Complete Brushless Conversion kit - $375

StupidRC 8S/12S Electric Conversion Kit V3! - $175

Based on personal experience, I would avoid StupidRC like the plague. I've had 3 of their motor/center diff mounts and every one of them either didn't hold up to wear very well, or were machined incorrectly and didn't sit flush against chassis holes. They are cheap for a reason.

The RRC one looks nice, other than you must choose with ESC size to go with, which means it won't work with the other one. But the kick looks pretty solid and about as cheap as you're going to get unless you want to piece things together. You could also look at Vitavon, Top Tuning, MGM, etc, but they are even more expensive.

I personally go with the Top Tuning motor mount kit (~$100 for the 3 pieces and awesome), and 3D print everything else. =D

If your up to making your own battery and ESC mounts there's the WFO motor mount.
WFO motor mount
I used it on my 1.0 truck and have not had any issues with the HW560kv motor.

Those are great... and never in stock, lol. Top Tuning is my preferred one now. Ships from Germany, but it's similar to WFO and pretty cheap.

I'm writing this before my 1st cup of Jane so bear with. As there are no "Kit's" available to convert my Losi 5T 1.0 to brushless i am going to piece together a kit myself. From LSF help i am looking at the Top Tuning options but have a Motor mount question.

The TT1021/01 Top Tuning Motor mount gives a Bolt pattern: 4 x 30 mm pitch circle for M4 screws. I would like to run the Hobby EZRUN MAX 56118 SD G2 Bolt Pattern but was unable to find the bolt pattern on the HW website or a google search.

On the Ebay rc-car-online.de site i sent an e-mail but my engrish sucks and may get lost in translation. Does anyone have the HW 56118 and if so would you happen to have the bolt pattern?

Now onto finding out if the Motor mount base plate fits the 1.0 or 2.0 as it does not say.

I don't have a HW 56118 on me, but I assume it's the same bolt as the Castle 56mm 2028 cans, which fit perfectly.

Thank you. I received this response to my message so it seems that the HW 56118 will work.

Yes, the front mount fits all 56 to 58 mm diameter motors, they share the same 30 mm diameter mounting hole circle.
Kind regards,
