mcd locked centre diff?

seen a few of mcd`s with locked centre diff.whats the idea behind it?.whats the pros and cons?.thanks

wagon runs a locked center diff all it does is give a 50/50 split so front wheels get 50% and rear get 50% thats all i know mate

i think when not locked it will throw all power to wheels with the least grip just like a 2wd if one wheel loses grip it spins up like a goodun on my fg when on full lock and full power i can spin up just one wheel enough to make it rip off the rim looks great but it wrecks tyres and last time i done it the inner beadlock failed and tyre insert flew out

I run a locked center diff on all my 4wd's (electric, nitro, gas). I much prefer it. It may not be the best for "racing", but I don't race, so for bashing it's ideal IMO.

When I installed a locker in my CEN Nemesis, it turned that truck from a lousy pig, to a reasonably exciting monster.
