Got to ask about durability with 3d printing. Can you make ,say x-maxx bumper and not destroy it on first run ? And as a highly trained profassional meckchanic who needed help to post photos on here, what's learning curve on scale 1-10???? Did someone mention lasagna.........

Durability with 3d printing varies. Depends on what material, print settings, and printer you use. So far I've only printed with PETG and PLA and they seem pretty durable. But I've heard using ABS is much more durable. They also have a special carbon infused type of filament that I have yet to try.

ABS is quite a bit stronger than PLA. It takes a little more to heat when printing and does smell a little.
Watch out with the carbon infused filament, it is abrasive and eats up nozzles. You need to be sure to run it with a hardened nozzle and not a brass one.

Very cool read. I have yet to find 1/5 scale jack stands or a floor jack for Diorama style pics. I hope somebody makes them before i dive into 3D printing cause i am a few sammiches short of a full picinic.

Picnic basket half full? LOL

It is addicting for sure. Just think of all the stuff you could make. Does that help ?
