Got it finished (other than the wheely bar I am working on).
Set it up and tested , had loads of fun rebleeding the brakes to lock up.
Pain to start from cold without a choke , had to remove filter and stick my hand over velocity stack.
Going to buy one of Taylor's performance carbs with a choke.
Other than that it runs great.
Now for the wheely bar.

Made up alloy blocks to bolt to chassis plate and through rear hinge bracket , to rear bulkhead and rear of back frame .
They will carry 4mm carbon side plates into which I will mount top hat bushes in bronze to carry wheely bar chassis.
This will be 2 shaped carbon sides with spacer bars inside and turned alloy pivot at front and axle box at rear for 2 wheels.
Ordered 2 internal sprung dampers to absorb shock loadings and adjust height of bar.

Roughed out on the mill and then hand fettled to fit the chassis.
Bolted them down temp to make sideplate template so I can cut the 4mm carbon sides out tonight.

Anyone got any vintage kyosho Optime Mid servo saver , wing mount or gear saver parts laying about for a decent price ?
Going to work on something smaller for a while.

This thing looks the mutts nuts!! Will you actually be bashing this Baja? I feel like it should just be sat on a shelf & admired 😆

Going to run it when the weather gets warmer and I find some nice soft grass without bricks in it.
Run my Baja q shorty most , as it owes me nothing.
I clean all my cars after use , always have , which is probably why I still have my 80s Kyosho lazer ZXR

HAH!.
Just found some more jobs to do on the car.
Got a billet diff and changed all the gears in it for Black Bone gears, Built it up with my FLM outputs and hub ends.
I got a full set of Black Bone gears for the gearbox as well.
I am going to have to remove the gearbox to fit them and my Taylor titanium input shaft at the same time.
Just got a new FID master cylinder for the brakes as the old GTB racing one is a pain to bleed and very messy to fill, this new one has a nice big pot on the top to fill up with fluid, didn't come with a mounting base though , so I made one .
I am also making up carbon driveshaft guards to fit my FLM rear arms , so they will be shaped to follow the shape of them and mounted with the tapped holes in the tops of the arms.

Made the carbon fiber driveshaft guards for my FLM rear wishbones.
They have to be shaped to fit the contours of the arms , and one side to clear the gear cover.
