hi i posted that i was interested in buying either fg marder or lauterbacher, and alot of replies on the furom said to go for the lauterbacher, the thing is the guy that is selling it first told me that the remote didnt charge and that the back had been glued on, and the when i questioned if it was working properly and how i would see it working he then said that he would try and take the back off and put normal batteries in the remote, then i recieved a message saying that he would get back to me on friday as he was going to get a charger off his mate, also the back mud gaurd is missing and there are two jubile clips on the exhaust pipe????, do you think he is having me on and this is why it is so cheap?. i also found out that it has been up for sale about 2 months, surely if it was that much of a bargain it would have gone by now? i know that the car is worth 400 on its own but if i by it with no remote then i cant test it and i will be left with more problems. thanks alot joe:):)

Agreed with pablo, get some photos on here.

The Lauterbacher pipe should have jubilee clips on or atleast the squeeze together type you see on 1/1 car radiator hoses.

The 3vc is powered by a rechargeable battery pack (9 cell?? I can't remember it's been that long since I looked at mine) That might have gone faulty but are cheap to replace. As for the battery cover being glued on..... it happens as the locking tabs do break off just like the ones on a tv remote.

the guy selling emailed to say he no longer has the transmitter ;)

i have a couple FG,s cant go wrong with them also Fg spares are a lot

easier to source :o

K....

to the OP, steer clear dude, you said ya self, if it was a good deal, it would have been snapped up as soon it was up for sale.. might be good for a project or summit, but for RTR... i can smell a rat ^^

as others have said, FG's are simple to work on, parts are cheaper than MCD & also easier to come by

g/luck dude :)

As I noted on your other thread on this subject, just pass on it. I find it hard to believe he bought the rc for 1200 put 200 into it and is selling it for 400. Pass, pass, pass......:nono:
