Movement between drive cups and diff??

You will get a bit longer out of the drive cups if you swap them round so you are running on the 'good' side of the cup but ideally they need replacing whilst you got it in bits. I would change the bearings as well to be sure for the sake of a couple of quid - the bearing in the pic looks like it could be shot but that could just be the angle of the pic?? Is there any play in them?

yeah the bearing is pushed out abit and there's abit of a sandy sort of feel coming from it so they could do with replacing.is there any specif bearing to get for it or would i just have to get one the right size. if it has to be a specific one would anyone have a part number for it,it would be much appreciated

just a quickie, just wondering if anyone has any experience with plastic dif covers : http://www.freeprawnracing.co.uk/06065-01-plastic-diff.-cover-1pce.-06065-01.html and if they do are they worth it or would a alluminium one be better

Never use a plastic one mate, I would just go with the alloy one http://www.freeprawnracing.co.uk/06065-aluminium-differential-cover-1pce.-06065.html to be honest bud you'll need to seal the diff to when you've rebuilt it, I'll try and find the link from here and post it for you mate
