I've an old E-Maxx 3906 2-speed that's had quite a chequered past, several chassis, and now sports the following;
New Era 40-series alloys
Titanium arms
Titanium hinge pins
Titanium bumpers
Titanium skid plates !!!
Castle Mamba Monster ESC
Feigao 580L BL sensorless motor
Alloy EVERYTHING else
2 x 3S LiPo batteries
Several different bodies - got bored and started painting over last summer!!

The body's a Cuda I thought I'd be a little 'creative' with.
I've been waiting for an 'opportune moment' to complete it - i.e. wife and young son out of the house - as I had to rebuild the gearbox, and install the ESC / motor.
Mission complete - IT'S A FLYER - POSSIBLY the fastest truck I have, and I have a mini-Revo with series twin NiMH batteries!!
Finally got a Christmas present for myself - been 'eyeing it up' for 3 months waiting for the chance ... :clown: :cool2: :clown:

hi al, i used to be a traxxas man myself, but that looks a beast have still got a tmaxx with a fair bit of bling on it, but no engine do you know how hard it would be to convert to electric.

Hi Paul,

I'm certain there are conversion kits.
Check with www.rc-monster.com
If you e-mail them (if there's nothing immediately available) they're very helpful.
I tell you 'though, this thing FLIES!!
Hopefully this gearbox can hold up to the ESC / motor package, and the ESC / motor hold up.
I've had 3x Novak HV Maxx's in it and ALL have blown for one reason or another - normally I've overgeared it, or have tried blasting a bit too long, but it should be able to take it ... this DOES seem different!
Next 'meet' I might bring it along. Car's stuck in the works car park as the road to my house is lethal!! :(

to make a tmaxx and emaxx you really just need a tranny. chassis would give you battery placement as well.

those new era rims are too sweet. I had the ti skids on a tmaxx with a magnesium chassis. I learned stainless steel and magnesium can't be put together or a chemical reaction happens.,, killed that chassis hehe

That's a shame.
Chemical interaction, probably Mg catalysing it with some salty water helping it along, but ...
I'm using a FastLane aluminium chassis, SuperMaxx 6-spider diffs, modified gears, FastLane gearbox casing, Savox steering servo (1256TG), SuperMaxx steering bell, Revo CVD's, hubs, Integy MSR8 shocks, Integy wheelie bar ...
I think I got a bit carried away!!
I've had 3 or 4 Novak HV Maxx 4.5 systems in it and blown every one within perhaps 5 or 6 discharges - heavy throttle finger I suppose (I'm no Sunday morning driver in the 'real' sense!!)
I've had a GorillaMaxx chassis which was VERY stable but not solid enough for my kind of driving :clown::clown:
Signs are +ve with this one, so here's hoping!
That motor is SUPER smooth. People talk of the other high range German BL motors that cost 2x, 3x the money (and probably are absolutely SUPERB) but this LOOKS good ... won't say any more!!

Don't know if I can call it that!! 'E-MAXX'.
The only original parts are the gearchange servo and linkage and ... antenna tube and transmitter - changed the receiver when HV Maxx started playing up, thinking it might be a 'fix'.
Problem with the knock-off spinners instead of nylok nuts is they keep on spinning loose!! I've loads of threadlock on the theads, and they always appear tight. It's all of that torque from zero revs I suppose, and my not very gentle driving!
(NEARLY !!) lost a wheel this afternoon - car was nearly all white after 10 minutes' 'play' in the snow!
All electrics came through unscathed. Think I'll be more cautious just in case!!

I ran my Aftershock yesterday, I just recently converted it. Spun the 20mm wheel nut right off and the tire rolled down the street. More on order and I'll be using threadlock. One of those things that I knew I should do before I ran it.

WOW Al, thats one SWEET collection of machines !!
I just love that E-max, the shell is wicked !! (you need a mini Bo and Luke Duke inside there !! HAhaha!)

That Raminator looks awesome too. Properly BLING !!
I don't know how you manage to maintain / build / upgrade so many cars !! I struggle with just my Baja !! :helpsmilie:

Ive just been fitting all the new Bling that Santa just brought me ! Its lookin pretty sweet ! Plenty of CNC alloy bits , some hostile MX tires , and an awesome custom sprayed Desert Rat shell with orange to black fade and orange flames up the bonnet !! Almost too good to use !!! :clown:

Hi Pete, and, hit the nail on the head!!
It's man's equivalent of Next or River Island I suppose!! :clown:
I nearly lost the knock on/off nut to one wheel that flew off the E-Maxx the other day - thankfully the 75kg of snow collected on the truck - slight exaggeration! - also held the nut and the packing washers!!
I've reverted to normal nylok nuts as this motor's way too powerful and as you've seen, my throttle finger isn't very sensitive!!

Look forward to seeing your Santa additions!!
My FG needs more bits. Should be running soon. I fire her up every so often, just to annoy the neighbours and get my full of petrol fumes!!
Servos are fitted, but I'm playing with the electrics and in the middle of fitting hydro brakes ... ... !!!!!
