Chung Yang ("Sikk" CY27 27cc 4.25+ HP Marine Engine

DDM Inventory Item bb208

The new 2009 Chung Yang CY27 watercooled engine is a 27.2cc (34mm bore, 30mm stroke) 18,000+ RPM performance machine. It features a red silicone spark plug cap, new blue gaskets, high-flow water jacket, 4 transfer port 34mm cylinder, 30mm stuffed crankshaft, high-performance single-ring piston, Walbro WT-771 carburetor (15.88mm bore, 12.7mm venturi, adjustable high and low jets), improved cylinder plating, and more! Estimated engine power output is approx 4.25 HP. Engine mounts are included, as shown. Air filter and muffler not included. Requires 90 octane (using the R+M/2 octane rating method) or higher fuel.

Note: these engines are often referred to as Sikk engines, as Sikk is a large importer of these motors.

For R/C: Fits a wide variety of R/C boats. Similar mounting dimensions as Zenoah G231PUM / G260PUM.

Status: offline Is that hp rating loaded or unloaded??( useable or peak) Most rate at BHP breaking HP. Run it up all the way without a load and hit a water break. Just curious!! I do belive that engine will bolt right in with little to no modification. just transfer the engine mounts from the Zen to the sikk.

Status: offline It is a BIG waste of money to change from Zenoah to Sikk. I have broken 3 or 4, (lost count) Sikk cylinders both 25.4 and 27cc. The Sikk engine runs a little better in stock form, but I would rather modify the Zenoah for equal or better performance. I have tried everything to make the Sikk hold together, but nothing seems to help.

Status: offline I agree, waste of time and MONEY. The 27's don't rev as good as the 26's and in a boat RPM is where the speed is.

Status: offline if it was my boat ,i would check out the RCMK/S254 motor.its a bit cheaper than the c/y,plus the performance is much better, and build quality is second to none.hp rating is 5.2@ 16000 rpm,a tad better than the sikk.this moter will wake up your warehouse boat for sure.and you can bolt up all of the other parts to it,like the clutch and the header and mounts.the web price of these motors is $259 shipped.look into these before you go with the cy motor.

just another option that is out there.i have a few of these new motors, and they are a great buy.

wow.. is it just me or does this thread look weird.. who is that guy pyo1 from andover nj? thats my home town.. sorry i cant help ya. just wondering how you did all that suff to this thread.. is it a... i don't even know what to call it..

I've got the same boat, with a Bonzi modded Zen 260pum. These hulls can't handle to much more speed than what you have already. If you have it set up right it should do over 40 mph. Mine was clocked at 48 with the modded motor and it's a handful in any thing but calm water. It looks to me that Sikk motor would be a bolt in. If you have the WHH clutch in yours it's easy to change. Trust your RC skills and yank the motor... :) You can send your 260pum to Bonzi sports and they will mild modify it for 50 bucks (same thing I have)
