Hello...
This being my first large scale vehicle, I had to adapt myself to working on such a large vehicle. Lifting it gets tiring quickly, so I knew I needed to get some sort of pit stand/work stand for it. I searched on Google and found a few. Some discontinued, and others were a bit pricey.
So, I thought I could make my own.
I started with a roll around chair that I bought from a local discount hardware store.
I got rid of the wheels and made some legs with feet from some old old nuts and bolts I had laying around at work.
Some foam padding on top to protect the chassis. The bottom works out great for a tool tray.
Drilled some holes through it and used some bolts as chassis tie downs. The bolts pass through existing holes in the chassis.
Wing nuts for easy tie down and release.
Lowest setting.
Highest setting.
It also has 360* of rotation. Best thing about it is that it didn't cost me more than $40!
I plan on attaching a magnet underneath the tray to help keep tools and parts from rolling around.
