Decided to start the long slow road to building my 5ive B, already enjoying that the manual and bags of parts DON'T jive the way the manual says they do, BUT, that is what adds that extra spice to an otherwise ho-hum process, lol.
As can be seen, I have installed a 5ive T 2.0 steering setup. From the research I've done it's a better setup. I did go ahead and assemble the 5ive B steering mechanism just for the fun of it.

A little more progress. Kinda under the weather with a migraine, this actually helps some.
Now another place where my B strays from stock(in 2 ways): built the front differential, using an Taylor-RC(RCMAX) alloy diff cup and FLM side shafts. Everything went together fine but I overfilled the diff a little with oil and had a slight mess when performing final assembly. I'll stop just shy of level with top of side spider gears on the next two. These diffs are definitely easier than Baja diffs.

At least someone is motivated to start.

The most I did was break the seal, opened the box, got kind of bummed the wheels/foams/tires were already glued, pulled out the body only to look at what was possible as far as paint schemes go, then put the body back in the box and closed up the box.

10mm shims for the pinion. As for the side to side play, use the stock diff gaskets, they're twice as thick as the ones supplied with the rcmax cups

Also seeing as though you're doing all these alloy upgrades, i would recommend the MOD rear diff inserts. They have larger bearings, the stock poop themselves in no time

My rear case has the MOD inserts, luckily.

Question, I have a Modified Rc center diff mount and an FLM split mount. I'm tempted to use the FLM in the B and the Modified rc in the T 2.0. Thoughts?
I've even got the right sweatshirt on tonight! Went with the Vertigo Monster Locker quick spur plate and Spur gear, I'm filling diffs with Stock fluid for now as well. For the type of running I'll do it'll work fine.

A little progress on center diff stuff. Made the decision to use the flm mount on the 5ive B.
Pretty soon I'll be sporting the build thread contributor badge, OH YEAH!

Shutting the shop down for tonight, got the front and rear gearcases assembled, also assembled the rear cvd axles but didn't take pictures of that. And yes I used Lucas Red&Tacky grease on the gears as well as the cv couplers inside the boots.

Worked a little more tonight, assembled rear hubs using more lucas red and tacky grease in the cv joints, worked on adapting rcmax sway bar plates to vitavon housings as hole spacing is slightly off, I've got to get some carbide burrs, the grit type I have are SLOW on elongation holes in Taylor alloy, lol.
