Need help Xt shocks

I broke a front shock on my Xt the other day and I ordered the upgrade ones that it shows in the manuel the 710015 Front "Resil" shocks gunmetal. I see they look different than the stock ones do they still fit or what do I have to do to get them to work? I haven't tried to install them yet I just saw the tops are different.
