Hey people.. I'm new on forum and this is my first thread..

I have been running my HPI Baja 5B SS now with the standard CY engine for more than 120 Litres of fuel.. And now it is beginning to lack power and compression.. So i have been looking for a new engine..

The Choise is between these two

Zenoah G270RC at the price of 350$
Zenoah G290RC at the price of 320$

This is the prices i can get them to in Denmark, and I wont be able to buy from outside europe since i will have to pay custums fees and shipping, but if you know any side inside europe who sells engines at low prices! let me hear!

But which of these engines would you choose and why?

just put new piston and ring in your existing cy if bore , bearings and seals are ok.
id go for the 29 zen personally.

+1 Hyper.
New ring and gaskets if necessary.
Should get the compression up and the engine purring away again!!
Welcome to LSF.

Either of the others is fine.
Agreed, from what I've read there's possibly a bit more to be had in the G290RC, but not much in it.

Thanks very much for the fast replies guys! I appriciate it!

- I know I can change the gaskets, etc.. but i just feel like trying one of those 4 bolt engines, i have experienced many times that the engine blows my gasket :/ .. so I thought it maybe would be time to put this old lady for sale, and invest in a new engine.
