Good evening,

I’m building my first 5th scale and coming from nitro so this is all fairly new to me, I’m building the hpi Baja 5B SBK Kit and have gone for a G320RC and a vrc big bore.

Am I okay running the motor in with the vrc fitted or should I try and do a couple of heat cycles on the bench with the stock silencer on or is it similar to mx bikes I’ve had in the past and set a slightly richer than normal tune and just don’t hammer it for a few tanks/heat cycles.

Thanks
Jack

I run everything the way it will be run....Got new raminator project and will run with bartalone pipe during break in.Idle 5 minutes with a few taps of throttle. Cool completely down......20 minutes to 30 minutes. Idle 10 minutes with some throttle taps, completely coll down. Run 10 minutes no body no more than 1/4 throttle, cool down Run 10 minutes with body no more than !/2 throttle, cool down. After that take it easy first couple tanks then start tune. Probably never have to go more than 1/8turn on either screw .
