Jon this is where it gets complicated. Here goes.

Ok once upon a time there was a company called Mirage they were once the UK distributer of HPI products. But they also had some sub brands Maverick being one of them Edit was another and some others.

But they went bust. So HPI racing UK was formed. They dumped most of the sub brands but kept Maverick going. This is where the Blackout has come from. It's not a HPI product it's a Maverick product.

Hope that helps.

One thing I can say is that HPI are busy creating something. Don't worry they won't be left behind. Dint get to excited as I expect to see an SS T with much more of a short courser feel about it before hand.

I kind of thought that. That HPI and Maverick are not really the same thing.

My little Maverick buggy has no HPI references anywhere

Still should make the clone haters hush up. They'll still try and say they aren't copying someone else... this is true I guess. they were just too lazy to make something themselves and rebadged someone else's design to get their share of the income from that market LOL

And there is also the engine argument! Zenoah=Genuine. CY=clone of Zenoah.Fuelie=clone of a clone or is it a re-badged clone???? confused.
J.
