Hi guys,

ok I tried everything there is to try regarding the low end/torque for my dibby, but no matter what, it lacks!
What ive tried...

Gearing, tried 19T which is the lowest, helped a little but not a lot & barely noticeable & lost a lot of top end, so this was a no go.
Carb (pressure point, also a brand new carb!)
Different size Rims/Tires
Retuned a few times...

The only thing i haven't done is try a different pipe (and engine!). From the beginning I had a feeling it was a pipe issue, the pipe I currently have is the Olimat unsilenced, which gives more top end but not so much bottom end & I think this is the issue, so I'm waiting delivery of a Bart silenced mid bleed pipe which adds more to the low end/torque. The other issue is the weight of my dibby as its mostly alloy, but that shouldn't effect the low end as much as it is lacking, as when I hit around 14-1/2 throttle the thing takes off.

Anyway should be here Monday as only place that had it in stock was DDM (I'm from UK!) 5 days delivery is damn good tbh as I was expecting it to be at least a couple of weeks!

Soon i will be hopping up the engine too with the Taylor 35 V2 when its released, choice of Reed or Piston port!

pipe arrived today from DDM over the water, took about 1 week to arrive which is excellent service form DDM i have to say! I fit it just, but i had a small issue!.. the studs i fit for my old pipe are a little short in length so i was unable to use the 2xnut & spring washer method which is what ive always used to mount the header as its never let me down, but unable to fit 2x nuts unless i replace the studs & the studs are fixed in place using red stud lock! i know it can get them out if needed using some heat etc, but for now i will see how i get on with just the 1x nut & spring washer, ive used some red studlock on them also so hopefully will do the trick, time will tell!!

Anyway heres a pic of it fit, had no issues at all (excpet for what i just mentioned which has nothing to do with the design of pipe!) love the black finnish :D will get a vid or 2 when i take her out over the weekend hopefully!

I also ordered a winged pickup filter to replace the stock one & also fuel quick connectors to make maintenance much easier when i need to remove tank! just need to fit them which i will do later tonight :)

But yeah, excellet service from DDM \o/

Wjat i was meant to ask, my pull start handle hits the pipe, is there a hack i can do so the handle doesn't go all way down? Just needs to be up about 5cm so it clears the pipe?

Cheers
