The bolt holes that connect the exhaust pipe to the exhaust port of my Redcat Rampage XR truck, by and by, has grown too large. As such, the pipe doesn't hold tightly there and exhausts gasses mixed with burned oil spits out the loose fit and makes a dark, oily mess at the back of my engine and on the gas tank.
To avoid having to clean up, I fashioned a CATCH-PAN with the lid of an airgun pellet can, and fixed it below the leak-point. Hope it prevents a mess.
I'm working on getting the bolt holes at the exhaust port tighter. I saw a YouTube video in which a guy fixes the above problem with JB-WELD. I tried it but it didn't work for me.
ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO RESTORE THE BOLT HOLES AT THAT POINT?
